Motley Crue Saint Charles Concert reviews
John Mayer was VERY disappointing!!!
Maybe Motley Crue just set the bar HIGH for himself with his AMAZING Heartbreak Warfare album two years ago, but last night's performance was definitely not anywhere near what I expected from Motley Crue :( Then again, his latest Continuum Tour was a major disappointment as well. When you have a 12 song album and at best 4-5 tracks that you ever want to hear again, I was braced for a let down, but I didn't expect it to be this BAD!!! I mean, he's got A LOT of great songs that he can perform... but unfortunately, he chose not to!
The concert even started bad, with a HORRIBLE support act in Owl City... I don't know why Motley Crue couldn't find a better supporting act, especially when he had Train touring with him at several other venues, but Owl City was REALLY BAD!!! Fireflies is a decent song, but the rest of the stuff should not be performed outside of the bands own garage... with the garage door shut!
The Continuum Tour was electric and energizing from beginning to end. It was honestly the first time I had heard of Motley Crue and I went out and picked up most of his albums right after the concert was over and have 15-20 Motley Crue songs that I could listen to on repeat all day every day.
Unfortunately, he only played 15 songs while completely leaving out some of his biggest hits, like: Your Body Is A Wonderland, Say, Daughters, Neon, along with some of my personal favorites like: In Repair, Slow Dancing In A Burning Room, 3x5, 83, and My Stupid Mouth...
